Hiking the Park
In the National Park of Abruzzo, Lazio and Molise, countless nature trails for any difficulties are waiting for you. You can choose among challenging climbs up to the mountains peak or easy walks with your children, with a little luck you will come across some of the inhabitants of the park like the Abruzzo chamois, deer and eagles. More shy and protected are the famous Marsicano brown bear and the wolf, but the park is home to a wonderful ecosystem composed of 60 species of mammals, 300 of birds, 40 of reptiles, amphibians and fish, the ideal place for your kids to experience the marvels of nature.

Trekking in History
12 picturesque villages, perched on the mountains and in spectacular locations, each one with its unique heritage of stories, traditions, flavors and ancient treasures. This microcosm is the Valle di Comino and any of its villages is well worth a visit even just to enjoy the different perspective. Among megalithic walls, medieval fortresses, archeological remains and small museums you can discover traces of ancient civilizations which have crossed this place. Diving and canoeing on Lake Posta Fibreno
The Natural Reserve of Posta Fibreno Lake is located within the territory of the Valley. The protected area extends approximately 400 hectares and is home to a fragile and particular ecosystem. The waters of Fibreno, crystal clear, cold and pristine, descend underground from the foothills of the high Valle di Sangro to resurface in a sheet of water that delights residents and visitors passing through. Is a unique place to stroll along one of the four nature trails, but is also known for diving. If you rent a canoe you can venture into the reeds in search of the particular floating island.Other highlights include the picturesque mill and the small Ethnographic Museum.

Skiing, snowboarding and freeriding
Picinisco owns the best position for practicing winter sports. Prati di Mezzo (1500 m) is the ideal base for those taking their first steps on skis or snowshoeing. From here freeriders can reach the highest peak of Mount Meta (2242 m) and launch into breathtaking descents. The ski resorts of Pescasseroli and Roccaraso are respectively 45 km and 80 km away.

A Valley for the youngest
The Valley is definitely a destination suitable for families. Among the many activities dedicated to children there is an newsly opened adventure park with paths between the trees, a botanical garden and many educational farms. Prati di Mezzo, in weather permitting, is perfect to take their first steps on skis in a context of safety and confidence. The Park is a school of nature in the open air and educational paths are basically endless.

Downhill e freestyle
The extensive territory Picinisco is able to offer, in addition to the many traditional outdoor activities, also the opportunity to practice disciplines full of adrenaline as the downhill and mountain bike freeride, of course using bicycles specifically oriented to downhill. The scenery of the mountains Mainarde is a real heaven for both experts and beginners. There are nature trails (single track) and real dh-freeride paths with outbuildings such as jumps, banks, wallride and northshore. There is the opportunity to reach the peak via shuttle service, and then down along the tracks on the bike.

Climbing
In an idyllic position between the eponymous lake and the summit, the cliff in Grotta Campanaro is equipped with more than 300 climbing routes of all difficulties and degrees. Here with ropes, slings and the indispensable presence of an expert you can climb the vertical wall and challenge your limits with confidence while enjoying the surrounding landscape.

Hang Gliding and Paragliding in San Donato
In order to try the unique experience of a flight over the Valley, leaving behind the Apennines, the right place is San Donato Val di Comino. San Donato offers particularly favorable conditions to fly, and if you add to this the dry air of northern winds, then you can also fly above 3000 meters. Access to flights is at Tre Ponti, at 1100 meters, and is equipped with wind socks and a springboard for takeoff. The landing is 420 meters of altitude, in Campo Guerrano.

Horseback riding and sports in Borgo Castellone
A few steps away from the Villa is Borgo Castellone, a sports area fully equipped along the banks of the limpid river Melfa. From here you can enjoy different trails for walking, biking or horseback riding, strictly surrounded by greenery. You can cover them with one of our bikes available for free, or book an unforgettable excursion on horseback. In the area there are also tennis courts and a soccer field.

Golf
A few kilometers from the Villa guests with a passion for the green will find a golf site with friendly staff in an idyllic position on the slopes of the Park. 9-hole pitch & putt par 27: the ideal green for both average players and experts who want to engage in exciting tournaments and competitions. The numerous water hazards and sand dunes enrich the beauty of the landscape.
